Matt Smith of ClipperData says exports of crude oil were relatively unaffected by Hurricane Ida, but imports to refineries on the eastern U.S. will probably take a hit. More storms may hit across the Atlantic and into the Gulf of Mexico over the next few weeks, he adds.
