General Motors, Wabtec Announce Partnership on Electric and Hydrogen Powered Trains

Wabtec, a transit equipment and systems manufacturer, announced a partnership with General Motors to incorporate GM’s battery and hydrogen fuel cell technology in electric, zero-emissions trains. Eric Gebhardt, Wabtec’s chief technology officer, told Cheddar the partnership formed over their priorities in terms of reducing climate change impact and enhancing safety standards.
