12.05pm: US benchmarks in the red US stocks declined midday on Monday as investors await more earnings and fresh economic data, adding to the nervousness about the potential Fed rate hike. At noon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped by 12 points, or a flatline change in percentage, at 35,077, while the S&P 500 and the tech-savvy Nasdaq Composite dropped by 0.2% and 0.4%.
