12:00pm: US indices bounce back US stocks clawed back in the green midday on Friday after a mixed opening as investors eyed earnings from major tech companies, and fresh inflation reports. At noon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.5%, or 189 points, at 34,350; while the broader S&P 500 and the tech-savvy Nasdaq Composite were up by 1.1% and 2%, respectively.
