Much of the increase in inflation has been driven by the strong increase in commodity prices as demand from reopening economies and well-documented supply chain bottlenecks impact prices. While energy prices seem to be rolling over, other commodity costs continue to rise, reaching a current cycle peak of 10.7% in December.
