The Consumer Price Index (CPI) jumped 0.5% in July from June, after having jumped 0.9% in June, 0.6% in May, for a three-month annualized rate – the three-month momentum – of 8.1%. Natural gas jumped 19% year-over-year. The CPI for electricity service to the home rose 4.0% year-over-year.
