Stocks opened mostly higher, with the growth-oriented Nasdaq Composite edging to a record intraday high as long-dated Treasury yields continued to sink. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 27 points, or 0.1%, at 34,599, while the S&P 500 gained 0.2% to trade at 4,352.72.
