The Consumer Price Index Summary from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicated that seasonally adjusted prices averaged 0.6% higher in May, after rising by 0.8% in April. The volatile seasonally adjusted energy price index was unchanged in May, after falling by 0.1% in April.
