Crude-oil futures climbed on Friday to settle higher for the week. Crude-oil prices appear to have received a boost from a phone call between China’s President Xi Jinping of China and U.S. President Joe Biden, “with the hope that we might see a dialing back of some of the tension between the two countries,” said Michael Hewson, chief market analyst at CMC Markets UK.
