Bristol Myers Squibb Co. said Friday a late-stage study of a treatment for head and neck cancer failed to meet its main goals. The Phase 3 trial sought to compare Opdivo plus Yervoy to the EXTREME regimen (cetuximab, cisplatin/carboplatin and fluorouracil) as a first-line treatment in platinum-eligible patients with recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
