12.05: Stocks edge nervously higher US markets recovered their losses midday as investors await another round of earnings reports and inflation data due on Thursday. At noon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.9%, or 301 points, at 35,392, while Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 rose by 0.9% and 0.6%, respectively.
