12:00pm: US market in the green US stocks edged higher midday as investors eye earnings reports from companies including Alphabet and Amazon this week. By noon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.3%, or 105 points, at 34,830, the broader S&P 500 and the tech-laden Nasdaq Composite were up by 1% and 2%, respectively.
