The Federal Reserve has kept the federal funds rate steady at 0.08 percent since September 1 and plans to keep it there until March when it will raise its target. The Fed plans to end its tapering in February when it expects to buy at least another $30.0 billion in securities outright before ceasing the purchase of securities.
