12:05pm: US indices in red US stocks continued to drop around midday on Tuesday as investors looked nervously ahead to tomorrow’s Federal Reserve policy-setting meeting. By noon, The Dow Jones Industrial Average had shed 477 points, or 1.3%, at 33,887, while the tech-laden Nasdaq Composite and the broader S&P 500 lost 3% and 2.2%, respectively.
