It is now settled, Jerome Powell will continue on as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and Lael Brainard will move forward as Vice-Chair. Two specific clouds hang over their tenure, the first has to do with the national and worldwide debt load that shutters at the thought of any rise in interest rates.
