U.S. stock indexes on Tuesday opened slightly lower, with investor attention settling on employment data coming at the end of the week, in the final trading day of August. The Dow Jones Industrial Average [: DJIA] was trading 0.2% lower at 35,346, the S&P 500 index SPX, -0.13% slipped 0.1% at 4,524, while the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, -0.20% retreated 0.2% at 15,239.
