Stocks opened mostly lower Wednesday as investors awaited the release of minutes of the Federal Reserve’s July policy meeting. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.29% fell 128 points, or 0.3%, to 35,215, while the S&P 500 SPX, -0.20% was down 0.2% at 4,440.17.
