After an unexpected rise in new jobless claims last week, numbers are trending downward again for the week ending June 19, according to the Thursday (June 24) report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Initial claims came in at 411,000, down 7,000 from the previous week’s level, which was revised up by 6,000 from 412,000 to 418,000.
