Tesla Inc. TSLA, +3.61% hired 28,533 employees in 2021, to boost its workforce by 40.3%, according to the electric vehicle maker’s annual report. In a 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission late Friday, Tesla said as of Dec. 31, 2021, the number of full-time employees it and its subsidiaries had worldwide was 99,290, which compares with 70,757 at the end of 2020.
