Rio Tinto PLC (LSE:RIO) said it appointed Dominic Barton as its new chair to succeed Simon Thompson. Barton will join the board of the mining company on 4 April 2022 and take up the role of chair at the conclusion of the Rio Tinto Ltd annual general meeting on 5 May 2022.
