Moderna Inc. MRNA, -0.03% said Friday that a booster dose for its COVID-19 vaccine has been authorized by Health Canada for use in people at least 18 years old, at least six months after the completion of the primary two-dose regimen. Last month, U.S. regulators had signed off on extending boosters to Americans who got the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson JNJ, -0.46% vaccine, and said eligible people can get a brand different from the shots they originally received.
