Shares of Moderna Inc. MRNA, +3.39% rallied 4.0% in morning trading Wednesday after the biotechnology company said it has completed the submission to the Food and Drug Administration for its Biologics License Application (BLA) for the “full licensure” of its COVID-19 vaccine, for people 18 years old and older. “This BLA submission for our COVID-19 vaccine, which we began in June, is an important milestone in our battle against COVID-19 and for Moderna, as this is the first BLA submission in our company’s history,” said Chief Executive Stéphane Bancel.
