Shares of Moderna Inc. gained 4.7% in trading on Friday after the company said that European regulators recommended authorizing its COVID-19 vaccine for teens as young as 12 years old. The European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use issued the recommendation; next up will be the final decision from the European Commission.
