On Wednesday, July 21, drivers in 11 cities (including LA, San Francisco, Austin, and Las Vegas) are turning off their apps to support the PRO Act and protest what they say are shrinking pay rates. Uber and Lyft drivers in 11 cities across the country are striking on Wednesday, July 21, in protest of poor working conditions and declining pay rates, and to call on the U.S. Senate to pass the Protecting the Right to Organize Act, or PRO Act, which would give app-based workers the right to organize with a union.
