You’ve seen a huge drop in the Atlanta Fed’s GDP nowcasting tool, but it’s important to note that in economists’ forecasts, even though they’ve dropped, they’re still optimistic at 5%. Before every recession, you always see a sustained drop of consumer sentiment or confidence. But when you’re in the middle of a new expansion and you see a large drop of confidence, it’s actually usually a buying opportunity.
