12:10pm: US stocks rise slightly at midday as S&P 500 hovers around record levels US stocks were slightly higher into the noon hour, after struggling a bit earlier in the session, as investors prepare for a busy week of earnings reports from technology heavyweights. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 8.4 points, or 0.02%, at 36,067, while the S&P 500 rose 5.5 points, or 0.13%, to 4,417.
