Stocks opened lower Thursday, with the Nasdaq Composite leading the way lower as shares of the company formerly known as Facebook plunged after delivering a disappointing earnings report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.68% fell 219 points, or 0.6%, while the S&P 500 SPX, -1.29% was down 1.5% at 4,518.
