12:30pm: Nasdaq finds little upward momentum The Dow clawed its way out of an early deficit to 15 points higher at midday at 34,615. The Nasdaq was down 117 points, 0.9%, at 13,641, and the S&P 500 shed 12 points, 0.3%, to 4,196.
